Kishore Kumar a legendary singer in Indian film history. But not only singing, he was an good actor, lyricist, music composer, producer, and screenwriter. He also direct some Hindi and regional movies. Kishore Kumar was a versatile singer, his romantic songs is still touch our heart. He not only sang Hindi songs but also many other regional songs in  Bengali, Marathi, Assamese, Gujarati and Kannada language.


Kishore Kumar was born in Madhya Pradesh on 4th August 1929. His real name was Abhas Kumar Ganguly. He was the youngest of four siblings. His father was a lawyer. Kishore’s elder brother Ashok Kumar was a renowned bollywood actor and he help Kishore to grew up interest in films and music. Kishore got his first break in the movie Bombay Talkies as a chorus singer.

He first appeared in the flim SHIKARI(1946). After Khemchand Prakash, music director gave Kishore Kumar a chance to sing in the flim ZIDDI(1948), Kishore played as a hero in Bombay talkies flim ANDOLAN(1951). Following this, asterisked in films like NEW DELHI(1957), ASHA(1957), HALF TICKET(1962) and so on. Some of the songs of Kishore in Burman’s films are “Manna janab ne pukara nahin” from PAYING GUEST ‘, “Ek larkhi bhigi bhigi si“, “Hall kaisa hai janab ka ” and much more. Asha Bhosle and Kishore Kumar had also performed duet which was composed by Burman including “chhod do anchal“, “ankhon me kya ji“, “pannch rupaiyan Bara anna“.
